- You will receive a certificate of participation issued by the International Office of Mittweida University of Applied Sciences if you have participated in person every day.
- If you cannot attend due to sudden sickness please let us know immediately. Your buddy may also organize an appointment with an English-speaking medical professional in Mittweida or Chemnitz.
- Please inform us about your arrival in Germany and possible delays as well.

- registration for courses and exams happen
separately - you can de-register from an exam one week
before the exam date - if you appear late for an exam, you won’t be
granted extra time for the exam - you have 3 attempts for each exam
- the 2nd attempt needs to happen within one
year after the 1st attempt, otherwise you will fail
the 2nd attempt - the 3rd attempt needs to happen at the next
possible date, the latest within one year after
the 2nd attempt (usually at the end of a
semester) - if you haven’t passed any exam in 4 semesters,
you will be unenrolled from your degree program - if you surpass the regular study period (Bachelor
6 semesters / Master 4 semesters) by more than
4 semesters, your 1st attempt at the BA/MA
thesis will be automatically graded with 5.0 and
you’ll be charged long-term study fees (500 € per
semester) - you can’t repeat an exam that you have already
passed (min. 4.0) - if you’re sick, turn in the student affairs form
for sick-notes from a doctor to the student

Some advise ...
- Periods of sadness are okay - they will pass!
- Be aware of your own normal
- Ask questions and don’t make assumptions
- Be curious about other worldviews
- Check if you were understood correctly / check if
you understood everything correctly - Treat others as they would like to be treated
- See difference as an added value
- Forgive (don’t forget) and learn from mistakes
- Be aware of slang, (in-)formal expressions
- Avoid but, instead use at the same time
- Own (mis)behaviour is frequently justified with
situational factors (I am having a bad day today
while the behaviour of the counterpart is generally
explained using personal factors (He has a bad
character).
